In this highly emotional time with so much senseless violence and tears of anguish, we are flush with emotions and some of us are left with a sense of despair and wondering if Israeli society, too, is one that does not value life or have any sense of morality. Though it may seem out of place to say at this time, it must be said: we are not the same.
According to the working theory of Israeli authorities, three Israeli Jewish teens – Eyal Yifrah, Gilad Sha’er, and Naftali Fraenkel – were kidnapped and murdered by Palestinian Arab terrorists. A Palestinian Arab youth, Muhammad Abu Khdeir, was murdered and presumably killed by a gang of Israeli Jewish teens in retaliation. An Israeli Arab man has been arrested for the earlier murder of an Israeli Jewish teenage girl, Shelly Dadon.
